I disagree, I had a sixpack when i was 14 just because i was very active and naturally lean. It is ok as long as you keep yourself at a healthy weight.
The first step to getting a six-pack, lose the weight hiding it first. The best way is to just lace up those running shoes. Swimming, biking, raquetball, etc. are all good cardio workouts too. It is a good lifelong habit to get in to. Just make sure you don't go overboard.

You don't mention your weight. If you're quite overweight, getting leaner would be a good idea, but personally, I would NOT suggest aiming for a 6-pack at your age. Someone with stronger medical knowledge then me might be able to comment better, but having a 6-pack basically requires you to be quite 'skinny' but muscular (at least in your abs).

I would not risk stunting your growth. By all means work out, work on muscle mass, but eat plenty of healthy food so your body can grow well! Once your at your full height, you can consider trying to get really lean.

First know that there are no quick fixes, loosing weight isn't as easy as you might think and you have to do it safely. Track what you eat, then try to cut out uneeded fatty and sugary items. Do some kind of cario about 3 times a week, and get some ab workout ideas from magazines, books, a gym, or the internet.

Good luck!
