When I was younger I thought more in boxes, I was only into masculine guys and hated the flamers. Then as I gained more experience with life and with people, I see people inside rather than out. Still, I do prefer guys that are more like me; I mean a lot of psychologists could see that loud stereotyped behavior as an marker for a very unstable person, and have you seen those bois fight? The masculine gay guys usually fight like guys, punches, we love to kick too; the femmes, all bets are off. It's punching, slapping, hair pulling, tearing clothes, throwing crap, attempts to permanently disfigure each other ..... Yeah in my experience I'd rather date a sane person, but hey if there's good bussy then we'll talk. :-D

Because it sounds facetious and harsh, as if you're trying to mock him or something. (But, then again, maybe he's overly sensitive?)

Also, I don't think many people enjoy having to live with some kind of "disclaimer", and like it even less when people take note of those "disclaimers". I'm a proud bisexual, but that doesn't mean I want people to think 'There's the bi guy!' when I walk into a room. That someone would just blatantly and randomly emphasize his homosexuality is reason enough to be annoyed.

Maybe he didn't want YOU writing it!
Maybe, even though you say he's openly gay, he doesn't want it blazoned all over his message board.
Maybe he got some flack from the floor manager about it in the past.
Maybe he got some flack from fellow students about it in the past.

Maybe you should ask him.

How would you like it if someone wrote something sexual on your board?
I don't think anybody should be writing sexual messages on boards.

If you are a heterosexual female, and someone wrote, "suks c***" on your board it may be the truth, but that doesn't mean it isn't offensive.

Because a lot of gay people don't only identify themselves as being gay, it's only part of them. And to call out GAY PRIDE, is basically telling them you only think of them as gay.

Being "out" and overt advertising are two very different things.
You could be cited for sexual harrassment.
Correction:
You SHOULD be cited for sexual harrassment.
