It seems to me that middle class in the U.S. is either too poor to afford some comfort and too rich to get some assistance or relief from the government. Not even the cost of living increase is enough now a days, and Increases to the minimum weage??? What happened to the ones in the middle??? Are we the real slaves?

Us middle class are being push either up or down (mostly down). People keep voting Republicans in which are really for the very wealthy while avoiding Democrats which can get way too liberal for most. We certainly need a middle-of-the-road/middle class party.

Middle class people in the US are fantastically rich compared with most people in the world, they're fat from eating too much and have to rent self-storage rooms because they have too many material goods to pack into their extremely large houses, and you're calling them SLAVES? That's an insult to, well, actual slaves.

Laissez-faire. Butt out.

I hate to sound crass. But you need to go for the gusto. Quit your low paying job and improve your situation. Go back to school, apply for higher paying jobs, anything you can do for you.

Asking the Government to pay the difference. Where do they get their money? From the Wealthy who don't need it? Says who? This is called a Transfer, handing out money and expecting nothing in return.

Don't wait for a hand out. Go do it for yourself. I believe we can do that in America, that is why I sacrificed 10 years of my life defending her.
