dkr ds help! (diddy kong racing)?

Diddy Kong DS owners only: In the beach, what does the sign with 4 question marks on it do? It doesn't let me go past it so I think it leads somewhere. I think i have to change the question marks into something. anyone know how?

the sign with 4 question marks will dissapear one by one and be replaced with pictures of trophies. For every trophy race you beat in each world, a trophy will appear on the sign.
