Do you think I will get into NYU?

Question

I currently am a Senoir, and in my highschool career i have finished 6 AP classes. Out of the 6 I have gotten A's in 5 of them. I currently have a 3.8 GPA and I am in GSA and volunteer club. I played baseball freshman and sophmore year. Also, my SAT score is 1400. I'm seriously thinking about going to NYU for undergraduate school for business marketing. Do you guys think i have a shot to get in???

You stand a very good chance of getting into NYU. If you are going to apply to the Stern School(the business school)there that's a different story. It's one of the top in the country. Considering your stats you should have no problem. You have to have very high scores in your math classes and on your SAT's. There was a girl in my high school that graduated last year and is currently attending the Stern school at NYU. She had very high grades in her math classes. I think that she did about the same as you on the SAT's. As I said, you stand a very good chance of getting in and you DEFINITELY have a chance, but you never know what colleges are looking for.

I thought the new SATs were out of 2400.... Well anyway, if they are high scores for you then you definitely have a chance to get the college you want. And your background looks pretty good...membership in different clubs... and sports. Plus As in 5 AP clases is pretty good.
I'd say you have a good chance to going.

Yes, you do have a good shot. I got in and my SAT scores were lower than yours. I had a 4.0 GPA and was heavily involved in academic orgs, as well. BUT, you never know - the competition is fierce for most schools. It will all work out for the best, so don't stress too much. Good luck!
