Carol...I don't really like it, it's pretty plain and boring, it was the only girl's name my parents could agree on that hadn't been used in the family.

My name is Keziah and I love my name today but I didn't always love up. Growing up, I always wanted one of the pretty girl names like "Lisa, Maegan, Tanya, Sandra, Sonya, Tina " etc and I figured my name didn't fit into that category. Nowadays I love my name because it is exotic and hardly no one else has it in the whole world were as there are a millions of Lisa's, Tanya's and Megan's. Plus I am named after my great great grandmother so it makes me feel more connected to my ancestors. Recently a black man told me my name was "ghetto" and asked when would black people stop naming their kids stupid names but he felt like a real dummy when I told him my name was a biblical name (the second daughter of Job) and I asked how can a name that is in the bible be "ghetto?"

I'm Kevin. I guess I like it, I never wanted to change it.
There are no other Kevins in my family (except through marriage) so I'm unique.
There must have been a Kevin on TV or in a book sometime during the very late 1950s or early 1960 because most of the Kevins I knew are around my age.

Khadija ...my Mom had that name in mind for the longest time...after she saw this pretty black model with that name on TV(my Mother was also a model)
she was going to name my brother Khadija until she found out she was having a boy(gave him the name Kadeem)...and she didnt' give my older sisters the name b/c they're twins and she had a perfect rhyming name for them Mikeisha and Tonisha...after she had my brother she tied her tubes...but she found out soon after she was pregnant...so when she had me...she gave me the name...and she loves the name...so i wouldn't change it...I like it...but it's really annoying when people see my name ...they can't pronounce it right..it's not that hard... Kah-dee-jah.... I didn't always like it...I wanted the name Sasha or Patrice(my middle name) when I was younger now I wonder what I was thinking0.0

My name is Rebecca and I hate it. I've been called Becky all my life, which I hate more! It's fine for a little girl, but not an adult who needs to be taken seriously. I don't like names that have nicknames with a different first initial. It's too confusing. My dad loved that name, so that's what they named me.

My first name is Kaitlin, and I love it because it is an Irish name and I am Irish also. Yes , my mom and dad gave me that name because they thought it was pretty, and they saw a movie with a character named Kaitlin (The Verdict) and thought the girl was beautiful and clever like they wanted me to be like.

Clark. I think my mom named me after the movie actor Clark Gable. I've been teased much of my life (56 years) because of the other fictional character, Clark Kent.
