9/11: Why did the writers of the PENAC document state, we need a new Pearl Harbor attack ?

Read it from their own PENAC document. Pay special attention to the section entitled "Creating Tomorrow's Dominant Force" page 50 and the top of page 51, where it states we need a new Pearl Harbor attack to aid in maintaining global dominance.

"Bkc99xx" I read the above quote as follows:

* We MUST move fast to maintain military preeminence.

* It will be a long road unless we have another Pearl Harbor attack.

How do you read it ?

Unfortunately, for you, the report did not say that we needed a new Pearl Harbor attack.

The report stated that the changes that they were discussing in the report would not happen quickly, "absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor."

Italics show the part quoted directly from the source.

So the problem with your thinking is that if anyone anticipates a future scenario or possibility, then they are automatically guilty of instigating or supporting it if the event does take place.

Any reasonable person reading that report would not come to the conclusion that they were wanting a Pearl Harbor scale attack. Unless, 1) you choose to pull your questions from far-left websites with reviewing the info first, or 2) you really don't care what it says, it is simply just ammunition for you to use against the people or administration that you already hate.

Just because they felt that they needed to move aggressively doesn't mean that they were planning or prepared to allow the next major event to occur. You substituted the word "fast" in your version, which implies that they must act soon to get something done.

If you were developing a plan to change a program or process, wouldn't it be prudent to examine all things that might happen to help or hurt the implementation. Again, with your interpretation, any such speculation would automatically cast doubt on any person. Sorry, but unless they said, "We must push for a Pearl Harbor type event to help our plan", then we must accept this for what it was, prudent observations of the conditions at the time.

I will end on this, the meaning of the paragraph is obviously dependent on a person's preconceived beliefs. You believe that 9/11 happened either with direct action or passive avoidance by our government. Therefore, you interpret the words to match that.

I don't believe the government, with all of its problems, would ever take such a risk as to be involved in covering up such a plan and therefore, the paragraph is just as I said, evaluating future prospects and possibilities.
