That is weird, because I did that not too long ago, was being hurried and forgot to do it the safe way. All i had to do was reset the iPod and it worked fine, and all the music was still there. Turn on and off the Hold button 10 times, then, making sure it is off, hold the select and menu buttons until the screen turns black and the apple logo appears. This should take aroun 2-6 seconds if done correctly. This is what apple reccomends if you ipod is frozen

You should be able to tell by looking at the iPod name on your computer & seeing what's on it. In the future, use the 'eject' icon on your computer and wait till it says ok to disconnect (look in the lower right corner of your screen, near where the clock is). Otherwise, if it's frozen, hold down the middle button (the round one) and the menu button at the same time for a couple seconds. the apple picture should come up.. sometimes it takes a couple tries, but that should un-freeze it.

hi Xtina, when the downloading is done, on your itune application will show complated. And if u want to eject, you can also eject your ipod from the itune application. I think is under the edit then select "eject ipod" once u click this your ipod will be go back to normal screen, so at that time u can pull out the usb cable:)

you know when the songs are loaded by looking at the top of iTunes, and seeing iPod update complete. If it says that, then you can unplug it even if it says not to.
