California is a ghetto due to the fact that mexico uses us as a dumping ground for their poor. take a look at yourself; im sure you are the first to say that we should have no border-- 'cuz poor mexicans need our help! then when YOU as a nurse and your team want to get paid, surprise, illegals have no money! you simply choose not to look that the hard facts that all the nice things you want EVERYONE to have must be paid for. You are like those that think everyone could be rich -- and have no understanding that this would create inflation and money would be worth less. It is the most superficial and idealisitic view of the world that has no base in reality but feels good so you spout it. Nice easy way out of the tough questions.

I so agree with you. I live where there are several homeless people and I can not understand to the life of me why we send so much money to other countries when we have homeless and starving children right here. It is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. The US needs to get their heads out of their a-- and do something for their own. If you do happen to need help and you are a citizen of the US you have a mountain of paper work to even ask for help and other countries just have to hold out their hand. It is worse than pathetic.

I understand the USA has been experiencing major problems with their health care for some time, we are starting to see a similar thing here in Oz albeit not on the scale that your people are experiencing. It amazes me that current governments seem to think this problem will take care of itself and perhaps it is these people we should all be petitioning to establish a workable health care system. My major beef is the inaccessability of reasonable dental costs, then finding a doctor who will treat your illness instead of pumping their patients full of medication. Not meaning to be bigoted but finding a doctor you can even understand properly is a major problem in the regional area I live in.

Great point and we can the problem is global exploitation of the poor creating global poverty creating civil war and genocide this puts people who sell weapons is business this means we are buying aircraft carriers instead of putting money into our own cities. IT IS ALL INSANE> and it is all manufacured by the people who want to sell weapons and oil.
tell people to ask where there stuff comes before they buy it buy products that are fairly traded so third world poor people have a market for there goods so there kids dont starve then they wont be exploited and told to hate americans. Then we can spend money on us.

No kidding. Poverty, disease, it goes on and on. How about if we took all the money from the war in Iraq and subsequent occupation and put it into cancer reasearch? It IS how 25% to 33% of us are going to die you know. Is it because it's not profitable? No way...
