Have these people lost their minds or what?

It's a religion.

I live in eastern PA. We were having the warmest winter ever and people said its global warming when anyone that turned on a tv for two minutes knew that it was bc of el nino(don't know about the spelling). But now that it has passed we are having the coldest winter in decades and those same people say it's global warming... this makes no sense. These are the same people that in the 70s were freaking out because of global cooling.

There was an ice age we had nothing to do with, isn't it possible that this 'heat age' that is coming isn't our fault but is the natural life cycle of the earth and is a totally separate issue from our chemicals softening our ozone?

I was just in new hampshire to see my brother and all the democrats in NH and VT are still driving their SUVs. Do they not even believe their own made up religion?

P.S. The average of global temperature has only gone up .7 degrees since the beginning of records! Most geologists(not influenced by lefty politics) say this is just a return to normal after the mid 70s mini ice age.

We don't completely understand weather; we understand some of it, but not nearly enough of it.

Why is this fact relevant? Because we don't completely understand weather, any weather oddity tends to be blamed on whatever weather phenomena is being talked about. About a decade ago, an unusually warm El Nino was blamed for every oddity possible, including heavy snowfalls in Denver. With global warming being the current hot issue, it naturally follows that everything weird will be blamed on it with little rhyme or reason for said blame.

Global Warming can cause a gradual increase in extreme weather. It is a totally natural cycle that will happen no matter what we do. We can certainly add to the problem....but we did not cause it and cannot stop it. I wouldnt blame one snow storm on global warming....but a total shift in weather norms....yes. I also think its silly to blame storms in PA on El Nino....as this is a seasonal/cyclical weather condition that occurs exclusively on the WEST coast... It also only occurs every 15-20 years on average.

Heavy snow is due to climate as a natural occurrence not a political issue related to global warming.

"Global warming" has become the liberal secularist equivalent of "God works in mysterious ways." In other words, any phenomenon you can't explain, blame it on global warming. A drought here, a tornado there, a flood, a rainfall, a hurricane, whatever - it is all evidence of global warming.

Never mind the fact that we have had ice ages and all varieties of climactic conditions repeatedly throughout the history of the earth.

Can you believe that some people believe that the simplistic phrase 'global warming' sums up the total effect of all human-caused global climate change and that they think that whenever it gets cold (like it does every winter) that disproves a theory that has survived MANY COLD WINTERS and that it never occurs to these people that climate change might also take the form of increased precipitation in certain regions, which, in the winter, means SNOW?

Could be, who knows. Global warming does not mean warming of the whole world, it means warming in places throughout the world.

Global warming does not mean the whole globe will get equally hotter in every area. Instead of spreading ignorance about this issue, why don't you read some of the studies?
