If don't menstruate when pregnant. Pregnant women spot bleed, but it's not menstrual. Typically, a pregnant woman will only spot bleed if at all. Spot bleed means just a few drops. If she's pregnant and bleeding like in a menstrual cycle, she needs to get to a hospital as that is indicative of a miscarriage.

I have 3 small kids, I also have had 4 miscarriages. That being said, if I understand your question right, by just LOOKING at menstrual cycle blood can you tell if someone is pregnant? By just looking-- No way. --- With the BLOOD from a menstrual cycle can you have a accurate pregnancy test taken? I don't know. I do know, they take a HCG pregnancy test which is almost always done by taking blood out of your arm. And yes, you can have a period after you are pregnant. If asked that question with my 1st & 2 born children, I would have said, "I don't think so". But with my 3rd son, it happened. Which I am glad I didn't know I was pregnant at the time because I would have thought I was having another miscarriage. A miscarriage very early in a pregnancy can seem like a BAD menstrual cycle.

You may get a lot of smarty pants answers on this one. People love to seem superior and funny. With that said, I did not know I was pregnant with my last child because I did not stop bleeding when my period was due. I found out when I was 10 weeks pregnant. It turned out I had a placenta previa and placenta accreta. So yes, a blood test can tell if you are pregnant.

NO. You need venous blood and a lab with a lab tech. to do the test. How about a pregnancy test. Usually period blood means not pregnant but not always. Hummmm. Why do you think you are and why this question? It is a strange one.

A fertilized ova inplants itself in the lining that your uterus has been laying down for a one to two weeks. That lining is meant to nourish the embryo until the placenta can grow and take over that job. If no fertilized ova implants in that wall, it is shed. That's menstruation.

If you have your period, you're NOT pregnant.

Typically pregnant women don't menstruate. Sometimes there's a little spotting, but most people take a pregnancy test when they haven't had their period.

if youre menstrating you're not pregnant. If you are pregnant and still bleeding down there that could be a sign of a miscarriage.
