Why would anyone would aspire to be a chav? Is there something missing in their heads?

Well...I have read a bit about chav culture (am an American) and what I perceive is that it is a way of defining oneself...and I read that it had figureheads such as Posh and Becks leading the way...so it probably gives someone in a lower to upper middle class household the ability to align themselves with celebrity through clothing choices..etc who might not otherwise get the chance....just my opinion...

Everybody likes government to do things for them and that's what Senor Chavez is doing. And he's sticking it to the man which is a bonus. Ohhh you mean chav not Chavanista. The second reason, sticking it to society.

not to sure what a chav is? but have a feeling its people that are common and wear track suits with diamante thingamajigs and swearing alot while trying to drink champagne???????, the champagne bit would swing it for me but you can sod off with the rest of it xxx
