Nursing school is beating me down. No wonder there's a shortage! Clinicals are soooo hard and I have lost all confidence that I can do this job. I am so stressed all the time. It's not just me, the rest of my class (42 ppl) are wondering the same thing. I am wondering if I'm going to make it or not.

I still shudder when I think of clinicals, and that was back when we did A&P on dinosaurs. But, if you are in clinicals, you don't have that much more to go. light at the end of the tunnel and that whole thing. Remember that the job is not clinicals, and internship is much slower and one on one with the people that you will be working with (which is why you hire on with someone who has really nice long interships with lots of classes for your first job). I never say it is for the money, but that first paycheck is very nice (until you see how much they take out for taxes). Don't worry about the job...who knows what job you will have. Worry just about the clinicals and only the clinicals. If you find yourself worrying about anything that isn't this week, stop it, focus! Do the job when you get the job, do the test when you get to the test.

Nursing school is tough... you have to learn as much as the Dr's in 1/2 the time. It is so tough in order to weed out those who are weak or crack under pressure. It is designed to be this rough. you need to make a choice....either go for it and now it will be over soon or leave now. It will only get harder. Good luck
