Classic Rock is music from the seventies like Blacksabbath and Led Zepplin. metal started late eighties. I remember when this song came out. It came out in the Hard Rock ara a year or two before all the metal. It was in the hard Rock era with groups like Poison, Motley Crue, Van Halen and others(also known as Hair Bands). So infact it is neither Classic Rock or Metal it is Hard Rock.

It started off as a metal song, but due to its popularity, it is now a classic. I just listened to it about thirty minutes ago.
