If you could change the windows vista then you should be fine with it. Vista still has a lot of problems. I've not seen or heard about any other problems with this notebook. Have you compared notes at say a place like here www.techrebuplic.com ? They have great reviews on pcs/laptops and notebooks.

Good luck!

Turions are okay. But they are nowhere near as good as the Intel Core 2 Duos.

I don't know anyone who is happy with their HP laptops however.

there is a problem with all hp laptops and that is, after about a month or two after you got it, the power cord does not like to work, it just goes to the battery and drains it so keep that in mind but otherwise its OK.

What i would suggest is you don't go for a amd processor, either go for celeron m, centrino, pentium m, duo core, solo core or some other intel based processor

What you want is an exterior usb hardcontinual enclosure. you'll get them at any pc keep or order through a restoration keep. (i have had undesirable success on line.) make certain the enclosure you get helps your type of hardcontinual. (it is, ide, serial ata, etc.) they are really low priced... I actually have a dozen or so.
