I would like to know what are the qualifications to race the 5K for the Olympics?

I would also like to know the world record for the 3K, 5K, 8K, and 10K. If Prefontaine holds all of these records then I already know them.

3000 Meters 7:20.67 Daniel Komen Kenya 9/1/96 Rieti, Italy
5000 Meters 12:39.36 Haile Gebrselassie Ethiopia 6/13/98 Helsinki, Finland
10,000 Meters 26:22.75 Haile Gebrselassie Ethiopia 6/1/98 Hengelo, Holland
As you can see Prefontaine does not hold any of these and haven't for a while now.
Couldn't find a record for the 8K as it is not an olympic event
