Why were you stunned? If you were stunned, you're obviously outside the mainstream of the 50+ crowd thinking. Not that there's anything wrong with it, I was just wondering what your feelings were.
Who is your favorite president in U.S. history?
All U.S. Adults / Americans 50+
Bill Clinton.....26% / 17%
Ronald Reagan.....15% / 14%
John F. Kennedy.....12% / 23%
Abraham Lincoln.....11% / 8%
Franklin D. Roosevelt.....5% / 6%
George W. Bush.....5% / 5%
George Washington.....4% / 3%
Myself, I would go with Franklin D. Roosevelt. Certainly not Bill Clinton. And Reagan or Bush? No, no way on this earth.

I don't know what the poll in the aarp magazine said. I personally think it was Abraham Lincoln. Not only did he free the slaves, but he kept our country together in that the South did not secede from the Union.

The Sigma 6 group of population is getting sick of extremes and is compelling a move to center as is reflected by their choices of the best president and the recent election.
