My gosh. My friends and I used to have sleepovers and stay up late at night and watch it. But this was back in the 1970's when SNL first came out.

We were in 4th grade (10 year old). This was back when they had Chevy Chase, Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, Gilda Radner, Jane Curtain, etc.

I don't think SNL was as raunchy back then, but I'm sure some of the jokes went right over our heads.

I think 12-13 is just fine to watch it, you probably hear a lot worse at recess.

Yeah, sure. As long as you don't imitate anything in real life you saw on that show, it's fine. Parents usually don't allow their children to watch such shows because they're afraid they'll start mimicking some crude things they saw on TV.

Good advice? :)

Yes, I started watching it when I was in 3rd grade in 1985. You should be allowed to watch it. You'll learn a thing or two.

not I...I regarded on the link nonetheless. i presumed that it turned right into a especially humorous skit yet a useless ringer for all SNL skits it became one or 2 minutes too lengthy. Will they ever do a skit making interesting of Obama?

Well its up to the parent whether or not they think their 11 or 12 year old is old enough to stay up that late, and able to watch the content.

Why ask us? Ask your parents. They are the ones who decide what you can and cannot do. And, when they give you their answer, listen to them. They are the parents, you are the child. Listen to them, and obey their wishes.

Besides, MAD is a much better show.

Probably not, but it depends on your maturity level. But, I don't think that it's been very good lately, so you're not missing much.

Sure, it's not thatgraphic or anything. If the kid feels he can handle it, then I don't see the problem with it.
