Pres. Ferdinand Marcos. He accomplist great things like building the Light Rail Transit, Farmers' cooperative, cultural centers, landmarks, rule Philippines for 18 years that completing his term for 20 yrs could become first Philipine Emperor . Hence they revolted against his regime to curtail the ambition.

I got Filipino friends and one of my friend use to talk alot about a President Marcos. She was living there when he was president and she said he did alot for the Phillipines. After that the people overthrew him and she says the Phillipines is not the same anymore. She says its much worst now and the natural environment is being wasted. She says its not nice to look at anymore. So I would think maybe half of the Filipino's did like President Marcos.
