People use natural to justify a lot of things. People who are homophobic say it's wrong because it's 'not natural' but most things we do in life are not 'natural' - society and culture have their own rules.

I would say 'as in nature' Formed/grown naturally. However legally speaking any UK food store can say the item they are selling is natural and they can be selling eggs from caged hens rather than free range organic. So it is used to fool people in my opinion when used to describe and item of food for sale in shops/supermarkets.
