I can understand your view, my husband and I have been married for 8 years and together for almost 13 years, he had a ring when we got married but it ended up in the pawn shop. Once finances allowed for another ring he was not interested in wearing one. OK so I bought one for me. There is nothing wrong with you wanting him to wear it, but there is no need to force him.

I have been married for 20+ years. I lost my ring during the honeymoon because it was too big and I have never got a replacement or worn one again. All my friends and coworkers, wherever I work, know I am married. And after the first child came, they all knew I was a dad. I have never tried to transmit any signal that I am available or instigate affairs at work or other settings. And frankly, the only piece of jewellery I wear comfortably is a nice watch, which I have a collection of. Is it a sign of not wanting any "baggage"? I don't know.

Supposedly the ring is a sacred symbol of binding two people together (as in some wedding vows). I suppose it is in the heart. And my wife has never said anything to me either. She has different rings, which I guess she wears in ways to tell others she is married.

Some people will say ,make him wear that ring, but sometimes that ring really in some situation men don't like to wear a ring. But let me tell you something , if you want to insist on him wearing that ring , don't you realize that ring can come off just as easy as
you making him wear that ring. Then when he comes home he'll always remember , wear that ring. If you love him and you say he don't cheat and you know he loves you, let him do what he wants about wearing that ring.

Maybe because this is his second marriage, the ring signifies ownership, and he doesnt want to go down that path again. Lots of men feel owned by their wives when they marry and vice versa. Maybe he needs this love you have between you to be free of ownership, and maybe the ring, like I said, for him, signifies he is owned. If he is not going to cheat and you know he loves you, then dont force him to wear the ring. Its the commitment you have to each other, not the ring that is important.

This is just and excuse. He needs to wear it and if not on his finger then how about on a chain around his neck or something like that? How would he feel if you never wore your ring? Tell him this really bothers you and ask him to please at least wear it sometimes here and there for you. Even if it is just out do dinner or church or something like that at times.
