what's the lesson of invading Iraq?

"Gee, we better get nukes or the US is going to invade us!"

I believe in Putin's delusional mind, he means that somehow it's Bush's fault that Ahmadinejad is a crazy loon, and therefore, a lot of Middle Eastern countries are now on a nuke craze because they are afraid of Iran having nukes.

Something these same ME countries haven't wanted to do for four years of Iraq or for many, many years of Israel (purportedly) having nukes.

I am not sure where I stand on all parts of this this issue. My well educated friend says since we have nukes other countries feel very weak because, they are without them. Its a more even
playing field with them.I do think that is crazy because other countries are less restrained and have a unstable government.
Therefore less secure.

Putin's word 'pushing' is better understood by changing it to 'forcing' nations to seek a nuclear deterence against Bush's invasion plans.
