A. Cheating is cheating because it still was your choice to do the drugs or alcohol of your own free will and it was your choice to cheat as well. Still is cheating and very wrong and unfaithful to a relationship and marriage and should not have happened in the first place. If you have a drug or alcohol problem then you need help and rehabilitation for it to get past the problem or addiction.

Hon, it can be all three. You have to see how far your relationship has gone, if its worth savinging, Yes cheating is cheating, depending what this person did, you did not say. It does depending on the situation, which it would seem to me that the person was not in his /her state of mind, and is asking your forgiveness. A Cheating is Cheating.
In my younger days I drunk alot and I never got myself drunk enough where I would forget about my current boyfriend, although I did drink enough to pass out. Which is why I can't believe the "but baby I had to much to drink " bullshyt.

being under the influence of anything is being 'influenced' period.
doesnt make it cheating more or less forgivable. someone under the influence is cheating themselves out of sobriety and making clear decisions and owning up to them. A
