What is the technical title for a movie sound effects creator?

foley artist - named after Jack Foley one of the greats who would watch the movies silently and use things around the studio to mimic the sounds that might occur - like crunching potato chips by hand in a bowl to simulate walking on leaves.

For those movie that need a lot of special sound effect team, like the recent "Flags of our Father", there is usually a separate additional team of:

- Sound Effect Supervisor
- Sound Effect Recordist
- Sound Effect Editor

If the film is the kind of Star Wars or Jurassic Park we call:
- Sound Designer

But then there is always also a Foley (for recreating footsteps, cloth rustles, door open/close, etc) team comprised of:

- Foley walker (artist)
- Foley editor
- Foley mixer
