I know what I don't know. Because I tried and I failed at the attempt. I don't know what I know because there are lots of things to still try.

This is a statement evidently from someone that is not too self-confident !!
What it is saying is that
the individual knows that they do not know things and is aware of the things that they don't know
The scary part of the statement is the latter
that is saying that the individual is not sure at all that the things they think they know--if they are correct or well founded or not----Or--- that they do not have a true control over their own personal "database"

The best I can come up with is that the statement pertains to someones realization that they know relatively little and that what they do "know" may not be founded in reality. Often when you hear something like this the person is talking with something that has to do with intangible subjects like religion, friendship, human nature, etc.

I realize my limitations as I have learned more..but the things I am sure of seem to come to me intuitively...
