All I see is when the Muslims are offended there are protests and demonstrations where people are either injured or killed. On the other hand when a radical islamist goes and murders hundreds of people, there are no protests or outcrys to denounce the violence all is quiet. I try to be open minded but I have to be logical as well and I have not heard of one incidence where a muslim has pleaded for thier own people to stop the violence. It's only when they are offended, for example how many people died because of a cartoon that offended muslims?

I am an independent contractor and I personally asked a few of the Muslims in my area that question during normal conversation. (They all have been in this country for over 15 years - all of them had immigrated from Afghanistan). They do not associate themselves with the radical elements of Islam - and they do not speak out simply because they do not want to draw any more attention to themselves than there already is. As far as demonstrating - one person I spoke with simply said that there was enough of that going on already in other parts of the world - and we don't need it here in the United States.
I was impressed with the Muslims I have met - more people should meet and talk with them. Perhaps some would change their perspective about the dangers of painting an entire race or religion with the same brush.

Well generally the terrorist acts arent attributed to muslims. EG the Muslims just took credit for 9/11. In fact usually its some organization like Al-Queda, hamas etc which happen to be muslim. So I dont think peaceful muslims or muslims in general believe terrorism is being commited on their behalf or in their name.

Normal Muslims don't like it. Of course only 13% of the worlds Muslim population resides in the Mideast. So most people make their assumption based on a very small percentage.

Most of the Muslims in the world are very peaceful, kind, generous thoughtful and loving individuals. They do however disagree with the decisions on foreign policy made by the American government. Of course most of the world also disagrees with them. Only the bush supporters in America seem to think Bush is doing a stellar job.

Peaceful Muslims condemn terrorist acts and point out that it is not Islam.

For example, the Qur'an says:
017.033
YUSUFALI: Nor take life - which Allah has made sacred - except for just cause. And if anyone is slain wrongfully, we have given his heir authority (to demand qisas or to forgive): but let him not exceed bounds in the matter of taking life; for he is helped (by the Law).
PICKTHAL: And slay not the life which Allah hath forbidden save with right. Whoso is slain wrongfully, We have given power unto his heir, but let him not commit excess in slaying. Lo! he will be helped.
SHAKIR: And do not kill any one whom Allah has forbidden, except for a just cause, and whoever is slain unjustly, We have indeed given to his heir authority, so let him not exceed the just limits in slaying; surely he is aided.

"Just cause" does not include killing innocent people or killing yourself. "Just cause would be in self defense or in defense of the right to practice your religion--and this kind of fighting is strictly limited. No property damage is to be made.

Recently, 3 MILLION Muslims prayed for peace.

TONGI, Bangladesh - Some 3 million Muslim devotees raised their hands in prayer for global peace, putting aside their country's sometimes violent struggle with political corruption and Islamic extremists, at one of the world's largest religious gatherings.
