Is it ok to eat spinach raw, uncooked? If not why is it so bad for you? If it is alright to eat it does it have any health benifits?

I eat raw spinach in salads nearly every day. If you read on the package it actually has more vitamins than lettuce.

raw spinach is better for you than cooked, again wash it. I think plain water does the trick?>

of course...spinach salad is delicious...it is also very healthy because none of the vitamins & minerals have been cooked out.
baby spinach makes an especially good salad...try it..you'll like it

Its great for you make sure you wash it..their was an ecoli scare recently with spinach thats why people tell you too cook it

Yes, spinach has a lot of folic acid and fiber, and tons of antioxidants for clearing up skin.

yes it is as long as it is thoroughly washed -- tap water is fine as the chlorine it will kill most bacteria found on raw veggies. it is rich in vitamins A, C, E, folic acid, antioxidants and opioid peptides. if you do cook it, steaming it is best for flavor, texture and for retaining all the health benefits.

definitely.. a lot of times they put baby spinach in salads. just make sure you wash it, and you have nothing to worry about.. actually, it's really good for u!

You can...it's in most salads, it is healthier because it has more minerals in it (they often get cooked out when you steam it). You can find spinich salad packets at any grocery store. I wouldn't eat raw canned spinich though.
