The Browns traded the only decent player they had in there #30 ranked pass defense for a notorious under achieving DT. There defense is still terrible. The Steelers O line is still middle of the pack. Don't forget last year they were blocking for the #1 running back in the league until he got hurt in week 16. And Big Ben had career highs in yardage and TDs. So how bad could they be when their tailback leads the league in rushing and the QB has a Pro Bowl season. So Ben gets sacked a lot. That's because he holds the ball rather than force a throw (ehhemm, Mr. Favre) and he scrambles around trying to improvise. The rumors of the Steelers weak O-line are highly exaggerated. Pittsburgh 11-5 Cleveland 6-10

They been in the Same Division NFL EAST (1950-1969), AFC Central (1970-1996, 1999-2001) AFC NORTH (2002- Present).
Browns won 1954, 1955, 1964 Championships NO Super Bowls.
Steelers won Super Bowls IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL 5 in All.
Rivalries like these will make you take sides, Take Pittsburgh's side and you'll be fine.

1. They are both "old" teams, rich with history, and have been around for a long time.
2. They are somewhat close geographically.
3. They are in the same division and play each other twice a season.

this stems from an old rivalry; however, the cleveland browns have been struggling of late, so I don't know how this should be a rivalry anymore. Rather, this rivalry began in a time (long, long ago) when the browns were still dominant. it's too bad their franchise can't repeat that success.

Really old franchises that have been playing each other for years. Both have had sucess and both are known for their hard hitting defense and crazy fans. They are also pretty close to each other.
But now the Browns are horrible, so the new rivalry is Pittsburgh-Cincinnati

They're both blue-collar towns. They have been playing each other for years. To top it all off, they're only about 2 hours away from each other.
