it is so sad that people are so judgemental about others with no tolerance or thought that gets me down including racism, sexism, homophobia,or class, we are all here in this word and have a right to live in a clean honest open society, but unfortunately that just does not happen, you can not trust any one now and I find that really sad.

This may not be a popular answer but it does come from a lot of thought and life experience and working with people who have been traumatised in one way or another.
Gobal information, TV and the internet, bring the pain of the world right into our homes as never before. We look, and are horrified - understandably so - but we can't actually DO anything about it all.
That brings frustration and emotional overload. And that tends to inhibit our normal responses to the suffering right in front of us.
You can get into the strange sort of state where you get angry, shout and misbehave, because the traffic is holding you up on your way the the peace rally. Crazy!
So my plea to people is always this, don't concern yourself with problems that you can't do anything about! If you can do something, do it! Otherwise, let it go.
Concern yourself with what you can change. How about the old lady down the road in this weather? Is she OK? Do I really spend enough time just listening to my little boy? Could I drive more courteously? Do I give enough to charity?
All that stuff where I could make a difference, where I could actually lessen the suffering in the world by a little bit. To my mind all that makes more sense than becoming more and more upset by the horrors out there that I can do nothing about.
So I will sometimes be sad with a client who is in pain - but I can help her to let go of that pain! And that makes me happy.
And yes, I know only too well how difficult it is to do that but I do try to practise what I preach.

What makes me sad is the lack of Faith. Violence in the name of faith; be it Terrorists killing in the name of Allah or Domestic terrorists attacking Athiests and Pro-Choicers in the name of Jesus. It is also hurtful when Atheist groups trash Christianity. I want to block it all out, I want to block everyone out.
What makes me sad with Christianity today is, it is so much more deeper than the End times, Delieverance ministries, or the "Feel Good" attitude that nearly every Christian ministry has jumped on the bandwagon, while those are a part of it, those subjects do not fully represent Christ's ministry.

I agree, I hate the racisim and intolerance. What else is sad. The inability of humans to learn from the past. The total lack of respect for human life. Religion does not seem to be making us better people just more judgemental and violent. The more tools we get to communicate the more isolated we seem to become. Children dying of hunger in a world of plenty.

Racism and 'intolerance" doesn't bother me as much as elective abortion on demand all the way well into the second trimester when it's perfectly legal to brutally kill an unborn baby even when it can feel pain.

All the deaths. I mean, come on. People die every day due to illness. We don't need war. We don't need excess killing. What's with this war, anyway? It's racist. We're killing people from Iraq. ALL wars are racist. It's sickening how anyone supportive of peace is now called a hippie.
Amanda H.: I am an atheist, but I still don't agree with that. It's people like you that destroy the world. Can't you let others believe what they want to believe?

That people still believe the fairy tales of their religions.
Even 6-8 year old kids wise up and stop believing in santa claus.
I have lost patience with the religious, especially christians, since the 2004 presidential elections. Before that turning point, I was all about the live and let live. The religious are causing too much harm to the world, and it needs to stop. There is just no excuse for being so ignorant in this day and age.
I could handle it if it was just "faith" but religions are too powerful, and too many people are too lazy to think for themselves.

simply by fact people in this u . s . have lost their humorousness. Now-a-days all people is terrified of "offending" somebody or would desire to I say that there is in basic terms an exceedingly vocal minoroty accessible searching for motives to be indignant just to make a acceptance for themself? howdy....it worked for Madeline Murray O'Hare.
