All time, Johnny Unitas of the Baltimore Colts.

I can't possibly convey how impressive it is when you're 6'1", 145 pounds and have stats that still stand in the top ten with players that play in an era where QB's have more protection then the President of the United States. Here's some food for thought:

-10 time Pro Bowler (the most by a Quarterback)
-He finished his 18 NFL seasons with 2,830 completions in 5,186 passes for 40,239 yards and 290 touchdowns, with 253 interceptions. He also rushed for 1,777 yards and 13 touchdowns.
-He was the first QB to throw for 40,000 yards despite playing in seasons that were 3-4 games shorter then today's 16 game regular season.
-He STILL holds the record for throwing a touchdown pass in 47 consecutive plays and is touted as the record that will probably never be broken. (This is the equivalent to the Joe Dimaggio consecutive hit record in baseball).
-He STILL remains in the top 10 (after almost 40 years) of almost every Quarterback All-Time stat.
-Won 3 NFL Championships, even while playing with a bum elbow (teammates said he could barely bend his arm) in the 3rd.

I really don't think there's anyone that can compare with that.

In my life time that I have seen play it has certainly been Joe Montanna.

Of all time, as I look at stats, Superbowl wins, 4th qtr comebacks, and the like I still have to say Joe Montanna. Just my opinion.

Tom Brady is closing in on Montanna.

Jim Kelly reached 4 straight Superbowls, won none.

Joke was "What does Bills stand for"

Answer was

B. Boy
I. I
L. Love
L. Losing
S. Superbowls

Other stats, Passing yards, TD's etc. Dan Marino comes to mind. Ofcourse Brett can pass Dan this year and end up in 1st place in every significant stat there is.

Brett's record in the SB is 1-1. I think he needs 1 more title to make an argument for greatest ever. Maybe this year??

He has certainly put a whoopin on my bears in his career.

In summary he is better than Rex Grossman, but not as great as Joe Mantanna (Yet)

Top 5
1. Joe Montanna
2. Brett Favre
3. John Elway
4. Jim Kelly
5. Dan Marino

As of right now I would say Joe Montana.

Just a guess but I think in about 7-8 years when Manning retires he will be at the top of this list. He's not yet but he's well on his way.
