he is a very talented mc but can anyone as hyped as him not be overatted?....he certainly is not the g.o.a.t .......that title belogs to biggie or nas...maybe even mos?

I don't think Jay-Z is over rated. I do think he is under estimated that is why people question this he do. As many times as he said he was gonna retired...and comes back that strong then heck. That is why people think he is over rated, I'm saying that you are saying that I am just saying that most do you know. Jay-Z is dope and in my eyes he hasn't made any wack tracks.

I would say as a pure rapper he's not the greatest. If you really listen to his skills he's not that great. So I would say yes. And he seems to overplay the producing, fashion, money angle. All that stuff is seconday.

yes and no...his music is over rated, but the impact he has had on many other things is definitely not over rated.

I think his new stuff is. But his classic stuff, no way. I mean up til the blue print and even the black album, he is the man. But, his new stuff, more pop than hip hop.
