No, why bother... just hit the SPAM button.

A friend of mine CALLED Nigeria... because he could... He explained to the guy that he was FROM Nigeria and was totally embarrassed to see his former countrymen doing these letter scams. He further explained that the Police Chief in that town is an old friend of his, and if he gets any more SPAM, he will just call his old friend and have him arrested.

The guy (SCAM SPAMMER ) explained that there IS NO WORK in his country, and he had no way to make money for his family... YEAH YEAH YEAH. Just maybe the country of Nigeria should teach their computer literate people a proper skill. Just maybe these people could become HELP DESK personnel, or other meaningful work. Or seek work at one of the oil fields, or oil refineries.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

I get them all the time but just delete them. I am sure even if you send a nasty letter all that will happen is you will be put on a list as someone who responds to emails. Be careful what you send back .

I wouldn't waste my time. First, while you didn't fall for it, plenty of other people do so it's profitable for them. They don't care what you think about them. Secondly, responding to them let's them know they've got a "good" e-mail address so they'll keep sending you more of that garbage. They don't know who all has access to your computer -- maybe your spouse, your teenager, your live in elderly parents or in-laws -- and it's entirely possible any of those people WILL fall for it. All they need is someone to give them financial information and it doesn't cost them anything to keep sending out the spam.

Yes, I wrote that I had forwarded it to the FBI for investigation for possible internet wire fraud. It wasn't a lie. I was getting them a lot, and now I never receive them.
