i really like this guy but he's a grade ahead of me in school so the only time i see him is on spelling bee practice .the spelling bee is on monday @1:00.and i want to give him a valentine but not in front of everybody.i dont think he likes me like that. this is the second year ive known him.i really like him.

The best thing to do and I kid you not. Is to walk up and give him an AWESOME valentine and then walk away and act like it's nothing. And the valentine could be something like the reciept for tickets to a movie that HE wants to see. You put in a note saying, it's a date, time place and tell him you like Nachos so he should bring some money.
Even if he shows it to his friends there's nothing that can make you look bad.And if other people see you give it so what. You like him, now you need to prove it. Step up. (don't go all advertising sex though...)

just give him the card and tell him . you were thinking about him while you were busy doing your valentine things .. dont make it out like a big deal.. wheres your guts. .. practically any body can tell you ,, that a guy would prefer some one to be direct and bold than cowardly or korny bye doing the i got a crush on you but im afraid to let you know thing cause you might not like me back...

Get the help of your guidance counselor to find out where his locker is at. Deliver it to him there. You might also want to consider finding out his class schedule and just happen to be nearby as a class ends, or begins. One other choice, find out his address, and mail it to him. While that is not as romantic as doing so in person, it assures arrival, and might save you, and him, some feelings of embarrassment.
Consider this, he may think that you really do not care for him. Boys, in spite of their bravado, and words, can feel that they haven't a chance with certain girls. What ever you do, do NOT throw yourself at him. Tell him you like him, and give him the card, and then leave. Give him room to make a decision without feeling that he has to.

When you are older you'll have more to offer.
The best relationships for a young man is one in which a young lady from his past reenters his life, with purpose and tolerance and maturity.
Guys also like girls that, know what they want! So, give him the Valentine directly.

hmm my advice is that you give it to him straight up, he'll be suprised. With me and my girlfriend, she told me she liked me out of no where and I was suprised. Till this day, everything she does for me suprises me =]
