I'd go with number 2 but then, I have kids at home. Depends on the days of the rotation. More pay usually means more headaches.

Depends... if I have a family and children, I would choose the 5 days job... so I can spend time with my family... if I'm starting in a job, I'd take the rotating shift, so I make more $$ and have more time to show my skills.

Depends on you and your life style
After taxes you'd only be left with a portion of it anyway.
The extra cash is nice but if you can live with a Honda as opposed to a Cadillac who cares.
Shift work is difficult. Especially with a family or even friends. It means less time to spend with them.
Family time and friend time is after 5 pm and chances are you'd be working or sleeping depending on the shift.
Is the shift change once a month or every week? makes a big difference trying to get use to changes in sleeping habits.
