It is great to have a different and unique name but it should have a nice meaning and also not to be so hard to pronounce .

I am not sure why you would get nasty remarks on Indigo. But there is talk on the Indigo Children, those born special and enlightened. Those with special powers.
My younger son is Royce (means son of a king) and it is old English. Can be a first or last name. I love it. Everyone seems to live his name except when he was young they called him RICE.

But now everyone goes WOW especially with the middle name of Adam (we want a bible name somewhere) and goes with out last name that is Irish and starts with an "R".

I think naming a child is important. That child will grow up and they will want to be a part of the big world and fit in. Many jobs opennings are lost for someone with a strange name. They did a study and they found more common names came in first for jobs.
But I do like names that are a little less common because they show uniqueness.
I just dont like made up names that are meaningless and hard to pronounce or write. Sometimes you think: "What were they thinking?"

i have two sons Kayd (like cade) and Cian (like a k sound before ian) and i love both names i think something nusual is nice and i didn't think there would be anymore of them but there is a Cade in Kayd's class and a Kian in cians class so its a small world im about to have baby number 3 and although his name is common i don't think anyone else will spell it the same Kahmeron (cameron) and i like girls names for bos and boys names for girls for example kahmeron for a girl or stacey for a boy. Indigo is beautiful though and colours are popular my friends named his daughter scarlett rose although it is different 8 other babies born on the same day had that name in the paper Uncanny or what

First off Indigo is a really cute name. I love unusal names. Mine is Mikki by the way and the only time people say anything about it is they claim it must be a nickname. But besides that I love my sort of uncommon name.

My son's name is Gage which is a old French name. I had some weird reactions but for the most part people like it. I love the name Indigo, I think its really pretty.

I like Indigo, it's nice, it's unusual, but it hasn't been distorted with a ridiculous spelling.

I named my cats Ruby and Jemima, I loved Jemima and had I been able to have kids I would have used that as my daughter's name.

I love Indigo, that's a great name. My son is Quinton. It really irritates me when people call him "Qi'in", but that's what happens in redneck land.
If I every have a girl she's going to be Rubye Jean Elizabeth, all family names.

I named my daughter Cadence, it was pretty shocking to my family, they expected a traditional and common name, they really like it now that they are used to it, I think the name should not be a burden to the child, but aside from that, just go with whatever is in your child's best interest and what you love, you cant go wrong with that

Ashbe (ash-bee).

Well, my name is Ryan, so I wanted to name my little girl something just as strange.

Everyone hated it at first, but then most of them warmed up to it and said it was pretty.

Indigo is such a cool name. I would love it!
