If it occurs regularly, yes, it's a form of emotional blackmail.

The bf is attempting to control and manipulate the gf by playing upon relationship insecurities.

It's a sign that the bf is insecure in the relationship...perhaps he feels that he is not "worthy" of his gf.

I think most women need to chill out about this. When we get together with our girl friends we talk boy talk (joking or not). My husband and I do it when we go out, I either agree that shes a good looking women or I think hes got wierd taste. Have fun with it, make comments about guys in front of him. If he doesnt like that you do it, he will stop.

It depends if his gf is offended or not. If she feels like he shouldn't be doing it, she tells him this, and he still does it then yes, it's disrespectful. Because it's not respecting his gf's feelings.

Personally, I used to go eye-candy shopping With my bf. We knew we were totally committed to one another so it's not like we were testing the waters. We were just commenting on the scenery. So for me it wasn't disrespectful because it was a joint activity. :)

Yes, its extremely rude and disrespectful of your boyfriend. Try this: the next time he starts in, start making comments about the guys around, how tight their bodies are, how good they look, etc., see what he says about that. If he says anything, just tell him that you hope he understands now how his talk makes you feel.

Whats good for Goose, is good for the Gander. (you know what I mean, lol).

No, I love my wife, and always tell her that every part of me is hers except my eyes. I tell her when I see someone good looking, girl or guy, and she does the same. To deny your base instincts, is to deny what makes you human. Being with someone, simply means being willing to rise above it, not ignoring it.
