again. I had it done twice when I was younger and took it out both times after 6 months or so. I'm wondering if there will be any problems with the scar tissue from the previous piercings? Should I just tell the piercer to avoid the area where it was done before or not get it done cuz there are risks? I know what to expect as far as pain, hygiene and healing and I know I'll keep it this time so it's not a "should I get it done?" question. Thx everyone

By the way- I am 29 years old and my parents are both dead so I don't care who knows. I took them out before because I was 15 and 17 at the time. I'm an adult now and I want it to be permanent this time. I think it's cool and I'll get a shorter barbell so it won't chip my teeth and since it's inside my mouth the whole world doesn't have to see it unless I want them to. Thanx to those who actually answered my question instead of giving me your opinion as to whether I should do it or not.

thanx for the answer it was really good, but umm its like the very opposite here every one wants there lip or tounge done or has it , plus my step dad has his and ive liked it since ive know him.. but to your question i think you should go for it life is really short and chances are fun but that is a classical excuse but i think you should get it done just because you want to and yeah you might want to mention the whole scar thing to your pirecer

Well why did you get it taken out the other two times? If you didn't like it, i don't reccomend you get another one. I don't think it would be a problem with the scar tissue. Just tell the peircer to avoid it and i think everything will be fine. Hope everything works out fine. Bye. :)

I wouldn't do it, scar tissue is one thing, and i mean there has to be a reason you took it out in the first place right?
