Ask her where she's from, grew up, pets, that sort of thing. Find some common ground with her.

You could show her all the hot hang out spots, hang out at your house, introduce her to your friends.

A girl came to our school and I invited her to sit at our lunch table, now she is like one of our best friends.

Just talk to her and maybe you could ask her questions like, "What school did you move from?" " Want to sit with me at lunch today?" if yes, conversation will just flow at the table. Start talking about anything you wish, and a great chat will just come! Don't be nervous about talking to her. She will appreciate you caring either way.

You could try to find something that she's interested in and start there. You could introduce yourself and see if you can find something to talk about. Compliment her appearance, her great smile, her laugh, find something that may bring a smile to her face. Walk her to the next class, talk about what you like or hated about the classes etc.

If you don't already know her go to her and introduce yourself to her. That in itself will tell her that you are trying to be friends. She may be shy and not know how to make friends or she may be self conscious about herself and think that no on cares to be her friend. Show her you care.
