We all talk about 'right' but still Over One Millions Canada & US Layers and Judges were not able to interpret what is the 'right'...
SO, the 'right' must be defined in the 'contest'.
Then, your question has the 'political' weight... Then the politic and political issues are complex in nature having many components...and without any doubt the 'religion' is a one of the major component in all human societies in last 7000 years in which all religions have condemned the homosexualities...
Then we have democracy as another major component of the political issue... AND the final result is NO answer to homosexualities...

You're right, because you don't agree with another person's lifestyle is no reason to intentionally hurt someone else. A lot of people who torment homosexuals are homophobic, and just ignorant about that type of lifestyle.

Cuz they're starved for attention. Or possibly dealing with their own hidden homosexual feelings. A lot of homophobic people are just over compensating for their own feelings. Of course it's wrong to hurt others just because you don't agree with them. Unfortunately, it's something we all have to deal with in some way or another. People will never live in complete harmony. There will always be people who are ignorant of others views, religion, race, sexuality etc... It's a sad thing.

NO, you shouldn't hurt someone because of their views.
BUT don't FORCE it down us! That's when it gets ugly!
How do we use force you say? By pandering homosexuality as NORMAL! It is not normal, ok??? STOP THAT!
It is PERVERSION! Keep it to yourself and ask G*d for help.
I agree with the above person. I have known some homosexual people and I liked them. Personally I have found them pleasant to work around and generally reliable.
I do disagree with their livelyhood but that never came up. What I don't like lately is the MILITANT attidude they are beginning to show. That I TOTALLY DISAGREE WITH!

Niccolò Machiavelli, author of The Prince, said something that has always stuck in my mind. His book is offering advice to rulers, based on emperical evidence (i.e. history), specifically (in the context of my quote) about the relationship between the ruler and his subjects. The quote is, "It is better to be feared than loved." His argument was that when times got rough, people who followed you because they loved you were likely to question the value of their love for you, and be unreliable, whereas people who live in fear of you will do as they are told.
"God fearing Christians" seem to have taken this to heart. They seek to inspire people to follow the word of God by threatening them with devine retribution, hell fire, and even violence and harassment during their stay on earth, if they don't join the church.
Does a person who truly believes in love and faith in their fellow human beings camp in a discussion forum and reprimand its intended audience about how they are wrong and evil in the eyes of God? No. A self-righteous person who wants to bully others does that.

I think it has something to do with insecurity, immaturity, inadequacies and possibly their desire to be brave enough to exit the closet.
Guess we'll never understand why hateful people go out of their way to make others lives miserable.
