My current college roommate and I have been friends for over 4 years now. We have always gotten along great until recently. Her boyfriend has been bothering me a lot lately and he wont stop when both her and I tell him to quit. My roommate and I had a big talk on the fact that I cant stand her bf and I worry that it made her mad at me. I have really tried to just deal with her boyfriend and all the crap he does. I honestly cannot stand him and feel miserable every time he is around. I think this has driven me away from my roommate and I'm honestly looking for new people to hang out with. Any suggestions on how I should deal with this?? I have already talked to her about it but I dont think he will stop acting the way he does.

Some people are getting a little carried away here. Why would she be an asshole for standing on her boyfriend's side? I have very good friends, but if they hated my girlfriend and there was no way they could be in peace I'd choose my girlfriend over any friend any day of the week. You either just have to put up with her boyfriend or find another room mate, but please don't blame her for not turning against her boyfriend. Who knows, if you move out and spend a little less time together, eventually you might even understand each other and stay good friends.

Tell him to stop. Mean it. If he doesn't, you have to choose: either keep on being a victim (for the rest of your life) or report him to the University. I don't know of any colleges which don't have rules about it. Your life. Your choice.
If she is not controlling her bf, that says something about how she feels about you. Most friends are NOT forever, despite the myths to the contrary. The longer this continues the worse your ultimate separation is going to be. Ideally, you want to separate on good terms. Thats hard when she's allowing the harassment. She's either part of the solution or part of the problem. R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

She's just too into him. Just move out. You can hang out with other people and find somewhere to move. Just tell her: "Whatever..."
