That depends, does she want you to discipline her? Some women like a good spanking, some men too. Otherwise, NO.

Are you the discipliner or the disciplinee?

The answer is no. Absolutely not. Parents discipline, law disciplines, bosses discipline, but not equals. You must be in a position of authority to justify discipline.

A person can discipline them self. A partner can comment on the need for a change of behavior. Then request, respectfully that the other work on "misbehavior" or address it so that the relationship will continue to grow.

When a partner demands change or sets ultimatums, that indicates a desire to control the other partner. However, you must consider how you define discipline. Are you being fair? Are you putting your partner or minors involved at risk?

I think it all boils down to healthy communication. It's hard to find and harder to maintain. I would refer you to a great book on the languages of love to help you discover your own answers. Its a great read for anyone.

No, You are their partner, Not parent, boss, or owner. In a relationship both partners will undoubtedly upset the other, more than once lol...... but that does not give the other person the right to "punish" them. This will only bring on more problems. If you have a problem with your partner you must talk about it. And come to an agreement that both of you can live with. You must have communication to have a healthy relationship. And one person trying to "parent" the other never works out in the long run. It will only lead to separation. Good Luck.

Excuse me!
You meant to say your Children, Right??!!!
Partners do not misbehave. Adult Partners act on their on free will. If they are over 21 they are not misbehaving they are doing what they want to do and if you try to discipline them you could go to jail!!!

Discipline? No. How about letting your partner know that what they have done bothered you and them tell them why it bothered you. It's called communicating. This person is your partner not your child or dog.

What...NO! If you have to ask this question something is severely wrong in your relationship. Maybe, you have chosen the wrong words to express yourself. If my husband says he going to discipline me...well that will be the end of that ever coming out of his mouth. We discipline our children and adults communicate with one another. The best to you. Seek help if your the one being"disciplined"!!!!!!
