There have been many blacks and women within politics - even black women (guess you haven't heard of Barbara Jordon).
My hope is that we will have within office someone that is more interested in doing and following the will of the people of the United States vs. what we have had the last few elections. When a country has a President that has more interest in following the will of those from another country over their own countrymen - it becomes a very real problem for the citizens.
As to the suggestion that Hillary will possibly be President - too many people don't like her at all. The news media may make it look that way, Hollywood types may like her - but their touch on the reality of day to day life is slim to nonexistent. Besides her having no experience, too many people within her party that want anyone other than her and Billy boy even close to the Whitehouse

Well, you are right. This is the first time for all of the types you listed. Senator Hillary Clinton is the wife of our former President Bill Clinton. She is a smart and savvy woman with a long history in public service and political activism. She would make an excellent President in many peoples opinion. Senator Barak Obama is the first black person running for President. He is relatively new to politics and is a young Senator but his heart seems good, he seems like an honest man and forthright when asked questions. I don't believe he has quite enough experience yet to be President - maybe a few elections from now. I wouldn't mind if he ran, with Senator Clinton, for the position of Vice-President - that would be a "Dream Ticket". Bill Richardson a governor and his roots go to Mexico - even though he was born here. Again, I don't thing he has enough experience for the job of President yet but is a passionate man who seems very open and honest.
Our elections here are always contentious and the campaigns can get nasty. However, after 8 years of Mr. Bush and his cronies, I think we are all looking forward to a change - no matter who wins.
I would like to think that Senator Clinton will be our next President.
Thanks for asking.

I could care less who runs for president, I am an American but do not vote. Lobbyists that represents big corporations are the ones that runs America, they spend millions to get the right guy in office. Last election Lockheed-Martin spent 43 million to get Bush elected but that is just the tip of the iceberg. Look at Dick Cheney and all of his reconstriction of Iraq the more bombs that fall the more millions he makes, I would think this is a conflict of interest.

They are only 3 of the many candidates running in the primary elections. None of them may make it to the general election.
