i think people are overreacted to this.........like it was seriously harmful to the child, like it was deadly or something..........it matters how sick she was.........
also, she may be a very competitive person who loves basketball..........if that is so, there is nothing wrong with what she did...........in fact, i admire her guts..........too bad she didnt play well though......
kids are tougher than you think, especially if shes 13 or older......(you didnt specify age)
i was very passionate about sports in school (still am) even at a young age, and played sick and hurt on more than one occasion.......sports were very important to me and i wouldnt miss a game for anything, much less a tournament........
she was upset and crying because she didnt play well, not because she was sick............shes sounds very competitive and trust me she hates losing and she hates when she doesnt play well.......

Technically the Ivy League is an athletic league between those universities. It replace into as quickly as based interior the Fifties, yet all the colleges to boot Cornell are colonial -- it fairly is, that they have been based in the previous than 1776. Cornell replace into based interior the 1820s. So all the colleges have long histories and documents of academic prestige. they could be now no longer continually larger in that they could be now no longer for all of us. they're certainly brilliant colleges, yet in case you go with colleges in an added element of the rustic or a greater look after atmosphere, you will desire to circulate to those instead. additionally, they're very intense priced, and which you will get a brilliant training in different colleges for plenty greater value-efficient.

Kids who are sick should NOT come to school PERIOD. There was about 1/3 of the kids absent at a school in my area because they were all sick with the flu!
Its mainly the parents fault not wanting to stay home from work to care for their child.
Gross.

Because of the pressure that the coaches put on them. They must show up regardless, but she didn't have to play. But to answer your questions, yes I think they should stay home if they are sick.

This is another case of the softening of our society for the worse. This little girl put her own physical ailment aside to play for the betterment of the team, which is basically the fundamental point of team sport, and you people are acting as if she were on her death bed. I wish I could congratulate her for doing her best to help the team win. As for the rest of you... grow a pair, lol

She should of stayed home. I often wonder why parents send their children to school sick as well. When my children are sick they stay home from school and they are kept in bed until they are feeling better.

Devotion to her team A Team Player. Sometimes the kids catch it from their coaches, for not showing up for a game.
I understand your concern, and I agree. If she had stayed home, she would have felt bad, and still felt she let her team down.
