We're nuts about those old British comedys the left side of the Pond. We have Britcom Clubs and all of those shows at least , a lot are on DVD's u can buy at Amazon.Com, I also love "Vicar of Dibley" where they have ther sweet old lady that will put things like car oil in her recipes. And one of the Parishoners writes to the Pope to get the Vicar made into a saint, forgets a detail like England is no longer Catholic. This sounds bizarre but I enjoy them so much and look forward to them I feel like getting them on DVD, would take some of the fun away

My favorite one was the Marine's disease, that's where Mr. Humphrey started sneezing, they were all in Mr. Rumboldt's office, he's out the door and the guy (from the health department) comes in spraying lysol or something like that. and they all have to wear wacky overalls, they get plums and curry to eat and they have to sleep on a waterbed, whilst the capitalist bloodsucker aka Young Mr. Grace is in his office dining on champagne with his 2 young secretaries. This sounds bizarre but I could buy these on DVD from Amazon.com but they are such a treat, I feel like buying them and having access will lessen the fun. The people from"As Time Goes " have been here to northeast Ohio because they have fan clubs, and the man ,I think his name is Smith, that plays Cuthbert Rumboldt, was here also and I met him. for a split 2nd. the actor that plays Alastair and the actress,Moira Brooker was here also

Wow, someone actually knows this show! I use to watch them all! Are they on repeats again, I could enjoy rewatching them all. Mr. Humphries was so fun, and for a few years he had a pretty cute co-worker, I forget his name. The blonde girl that worked with Ms. Slocombe, was one of my favorites,,,,,,,darn I forget her name, but the actress went to work on Eastenders as Pauline Fowler, and I've been following her for 15 years!
If you are just discovering them, enjoy! I don't know if the humor will strike you now, quite as it did us in the 70's----because back then, for someone to say they had to go home and wash their "p#ssy"----was quite risque! LOL (obviously people are still shocked by it, because it won't even let you type it here! It was a real cat, you morons!! bye

That's a blast from the past. I cant remember back that far. But I do remember the show had some hilarious characters Mr Humphries "Are you free Mr Granger," Mrs Slocombe "Where's my p#ssy," and the straight faced Captain Peacock. (Is this the show you mean?). I love British comedy, British comedy is the best.

I like that that show, so does my mom. One of my most favourite episodes is when two guys tried to rob them and they pretended they were the mob and also when Mr. Humphries thought he was 'young' Mr.Grace's son. Don't get to watch it anymore though because I am watching other shows and most of them are repeats.

i love the Pedroia one. He proved anybody incorrect. i don't think of it is a "it is previous baseball commercial" yet i love the business at the same time as the gamers are arising with suggestions and Longoria says "a senior promenade, for senior voters."
