They think she was a stuck up snob. They absolutely hate her. The recent movie that came out. The French that went to see it stood and walked out because they hated the fact that it portrayed her as innocent and misunderstood

I'm sure the French monarchists would say she was just misunderstood and sheltered. I think the average French republican (France is a republic) would hate her guts still.

I'm not French, but I've read about her. I think that she was misunderstood and that she and Louis were thrown into royalty at a young age and didn't know what to do.

Sadly, whether stuck up snob or misunderstood, they guilottined her... that's how much they think about her. I read documentaries on her life and how lavish a life she lives. Also, she was part of the hated monarch.
