should i dye my hair brown or stay blond?

i have fair skin and green eyes. my hair is dirty blond with blond highlights and its wavy, layered and barely touches my shoulders. should i dye my hair brown or stay blond?

Most people with brown hair would prefer to have blond. You probably would too.....so why not just keep it!?

Dont Dye it from Blonde straight to Brown, unless you really know what you are doing. When you Bleach brown hair, and it is stripping away the colour pigments, one of the colours it strips is the red tones. Hence if a Bleach job isnt done properly you could end up with ginger hair!
Vice versa when dyeing Blonde through to Brown, it could turn Green or Blue as you need to replace the Red tones in the hair first. (if you look at some browns/blacks carefully you can see they have a cool under tone, usually a Blue or a Green)
Ive always when going from Blonde to Brown, stick on the strongest Red I can get. Then put on a Reddy Brown.
Tho if youve not done it before, I would strongly recommend you go to a salon. Fair Skin and Green eyes would look great as an Brown to an Auburn tho It would really make your eyes stand out.

I find that the terms "pale skin" and "green eyes" to be very inaccuraite.

Is your skin pinkish, or do you tan? Are your eyes olive green, blue-green, hazel-green, light green...?

You need to look at whether your skin and eyes are cool undertoned or warm undertoned, as well as whether your complexion is high or low in contrast.

I have pale pinkish skin ("english rose" over "peaches and cream," which would imply a warm tone), green eyes that are dark and change from green to blue-grey with hazel (though people sometimes think they're anything from blue to brown), and my hair is an ashen/dirty brown, which highlights (naturally) to a more golden tone.

I've dyed my hair blue-black and dark burgundy successfully. I once lightened my hair and it didn't look high-contrast enough for me. But you might not need huge amounts of contrast, so a light ash or natural brown might look great.

Also, as hard as this is, try and find a celebrity that has similar facial colouring to you, but with brown hair. A lot of celebrities are dying their hair from blonde to brown.

Try to find a website that lets you upload a picture of yourself and test hair colours! Or if you or someone you know has Photoshop, you can do it yourself. Or go to a fancy dress shop and try on some wigs.

Oh, and keep in mind that your makeup might have to go a bit more bold or dark, depending on how you look. Be prepared to go makeup shopping after! Good luck!

speaking as a blonde i would say no!!! I dyed my hair brown and hated it! I found it too dark ,And it took me forever and it was costly to go back to my nice blonde again! If you need a bit of a change try putting darker lowlights in and it will give you a bit of a boost!Or what i did and absolutly love it is got my hairdresser to put a dark brown underneath so you can see it from the back and it gives you that little bit of UMPH. you might like that !

you should try something new and dye it brown. brown goes really well with green eyes and fair skin, plus it won't hurt! change is good once in a while :)

There is nothing wrong with giving brunette-ism a try. It is only hair and can be changed again whenever you want. If you have fair skin you may not want to go really dark- and you may want some golden highlights.

i think a very very light brown would like nice on you, (some even call it strawberry blonde) or maybe even a hint of auburn since you have fair skin and green eyes, I think it would bring out your eye color. hope this helps ;)

Keep it blonde.I love blonde hair and I had my hair highlighted a few years ago and I really loved it.I'm wanting to make it blonde again but haven't.
