Well England has the best pro league and Arsenal are the classiest team with their elegant attacking style. The fabulous Frenchman Thierry Henry is indisputably one of the top strikers in the game.
Add to that a nice blend of talented young internationals around him like the Dutchman Robin Van Persie, the Spainiard Fransesc Fabregas, Phillipe Senderos of Switzerland, Kolo Toure & Emmanuel Eboue of the Ivory Coast and you have an interesting and diverse group which manager Arsene Wenger orchestrates great performances from.
Overall the team is still a bit young which is why they haven't started to dominate quite yet. Though talented, Chelsea is like the NY Yankee$ and Man U is too much a bandwagon team.
Of course when it comes to international soccer you have to root for the United States National Team! Even though we have a ways to go before we are at the level of the better established soccer nations there's nothing like supporting your home team. Watching the US beat Portugal and Mexico during World Cup 2002 was an incredibly exhilarating experience. The '06 World Cup was a disappointment but the US will continue to make strides with time.
I think it's ok to have a couple other teams to root for too (as long as they aren't playing the US or Arsenal). I like Argentina for their stylish play (Brazil like Man U too bandwagon) and Nigeria for speed, skill, powerful shooters and exciting football.
Internazionale of Milan hasn't won too many titles of late but they play some nice football. Barcelona is excellent as well. Both have talented players and incredible home field environments.
