I'm in the process of building a portfolio...what kind of shots do I need? Beauty? High Fashion? Swimwear? Formal? Etc...

All of the above. Make sure that you don't wear any accessories that take away from your look. Very simple clothing too. Nothing glittery or flashy. Wear things that compliment your skin tone and eyes. You want to do formal, High Fashion, Swimwear, maybe an atheletic shot and something outdoors. Just play up your personality. I live in Hollywood and see portfolios all the time. Best of luck to you!

Usually once you have an agent they tell you what they want in your portfolio to start with and then the rest of it comes from the jobs you do.

you need each....
You should have a head shot and a body shot for each, and have some creative stuff to show people waht you can do and that youre confident.
