I would really like to grow some but I live in zone six (Kentucky) and a gardening book I have says it grows in zones 8-10. Will it grow here. Anyone have any experience with it?

I usually grow my fuchsia, in CT. zone 6, in large hanging baskets which I plant myself. I buy small plants in spring from a nursery and plant them myself. They will bloom, if deadheaded, until frost. If you bring them inside, it is possible to have them winter-over and place them outside the following spring after all danger of frost has passed. When gardening books say zone 8-10, they refer to having them outside year round under zone 8-10 conditions.

It will probably grow here.I live ins Sydney Australia and we have much the same climate it would seem from wikipedia and I have just planted some. Will see if they grow.I also learned them last year at school when we were doing plants from the area so they must grow here.

Fuchsia loves shade. And you must "deadhead" it contstantly to ensure flower growth.
