a "jock" was first used in UK to refer to a Scottish person esp. a man....(offensive to some..)
then evolved to mean an athlete....(still in use)
which again evolved to mean a macho man.... a dude... (also still in use)...
and from where i come from...it is used to refer to the man's underwear itself.... (jockey briefs!)
well......remember when "gay" used to mean happy and joyful..? look what the meaning of the word has evolved into..... :D

Some guy who hides his true self behind an idea he has of himself because he's on the football team. ( not all of the guys who play sports are jocks; jockism it's a mentality

my definition of jock is that you try out for every sport there is even if your a girl and play guyz sport, or even if your a guy and play sports that's mainly involve girlz.

A man or woman who hides behind their own muscles and ego and are not athletic but more in a sense PHYSICAL..
